Remix B, is a dynamic reinterpretation of a traditional eastern batik sarong, in which history and the present merge. By enriching the batik cloth with thick paint and batik stamp prints, a dialogue has been created between ancient techniques and a contemporary approach. The title underscores this tension: Remix refers to a renewed composition, while B—with its Malaysian meaning Besar :great/big/important- emphasizes the work’s impact and versatility. It is a celebration of transformation, where the past is not erased but instead enlivened and enriched.
