CROSSING 49  walltapestry  executed in cooperation with TextielMuseum Tilburg The Netherlands

A tufted tapestry consisting of 49 colored domes on a white woolen background, a grey colored cross divides the work in 4 parts.

Crossing 49, has its origin in the former tapestries Luxuria 99 and Tranquility.

My approach for this tapestry is to translate the dichotomy between the spirit and the flesh and achieve the ultimate equilibrium between sensuality and spirituality.

Een getuft tapijt bestaande uit 49 gekleurde wollen bollen op een witte wollen achtergrond. Een grijs kruis verdeelt het werk in 4 parten.

Crossing 49 vindt haar oorsprong in de vorige tapijten Luxuria 99 en Tranquility.

In dit nieuwe tapijt tracht ik de tegenstelling tussen geest en lichaam te vertalen en het juiste evenwicht te bereiken tussen sensualiteit en spiritualiteit.
